2026 BOTM quilt features twelve coordinated blocks, each inspired by a different month of the calendar year. Every block reflects the mood and character of its month—subtle winter motifs, fresh spring movement, vibrant summer energy, and the warm, cozy tones of autumn—creating a visual journey through the seasons.

All twelve blocks are the same size and are made using the orange lines on the Wonder Curve Ruler, ensuring consistency and ease of construction while allowing for creative variation through fabric and color choices. Together, the blocks create a unified quilt that celebrates the rhythm of the year, making it perfect as a sampler, a block-of-the-month project, or a meaningful keepsake quilt.

Peep

Peep quilt block is a sweet and playful design that combines gentle curves with clean, modern piecing.  The chick’s rounded body is created using smooth, curved seams that give it a soft, plump appearance. Bright yellow fabrics in a mix of tones add dimension and warmth, while the Wonder Curve Ruler makes it easy to cut and sew the curved shapes without pinning or complicated alignment. The chick’s wing can be suggested with a contrasting curved piece, adding subtle detail and movement.

Materials needed for (1) block:

1/4 yard chick fabric

1/8 yard chick accent fabric

(1) 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" eye fabric

1/8 yard egg fabric

1/4 yard background fabric
