2026 BOTM quilt features twelve coordinated blocks, each inspired by a different month of the calendar year. Every block reflects the mood and character of its month—subtle winter motifs, fresh spring movement, vibrant summer energy, and the warm, cozy tones of autumn—creating a visual journey through the seasons.

All twelve blocks are the same size and are made using the orange lines on the Wonder Curve Ruler, ensuring consistency and ease of construction while allowing for creative variation through fabric and color choices. Together, the blocks create a unified quilt that celebrates the rhythm of the year, making it perfect as a sampler, a block-of-the-month project, or a meaningful keepsake quilt.

Dragonfly

Celebrate the warmth and abundance of late summer with the Dragonfly block. Inspired by sunny days spent near ponds, wildflower gardens, and blooming meadows. Dragonflies are especially active during August, their shimmering wings dancing through the air as they glide above tall grasses and sparkling water.

The block features a graceful dragonfly with four delicately shaped wings surrounding a slender body, creating a balanced and elegant design.

Materials needed for (1) block:

(1) 4" x 8" assorted fabric for wings (red)

(1) 8" x 8" assorted fabric for wings (blue)

(4) 4" x 4" assorted fabrics for body

1/3 yard background fabric
