Curvy X Plus - Exclusive Block of the Month (BOM) for Quilt Circle. (Note: BOM always counts as one of the 3-Free download monthly credits in Quilt Circle)

The X Plus quilt block is believed to have originated from traditional quilt patterns that incorporate crosses, stars, and geometric shapes. While its exact origins are unclear, it gained widespread recognition in the modern quilting community around the early 2010s when Japanese quilter Setsuko Inagawa featured it in a quilt displayed at an international quilt show.

Her interpretation of the block showcased bold colors and scrappy piecing, inspiring quilters worldwide. Since then, the block has been adapted into numerous styles, often using high-contrast fabrics to emphasize its distinct X and plus shapes.

This is our version the X Plus block.  We made the "Plus" larger with a window to show the "X" behind. We also start with curved sewing for the "X" instead of just using diagonal piecing.  Finally we used simple "snowball" corners to complete the "X".
