The curve ruler made those swooping strips way easier than I expected, and the 2 yards of solid for the borders was just enough with a little left over. I used five different quarter-yard prints and the mix feels scrappy without turning into a mess.

I was worried the 1/4 yard cuts would feel skimpy but they're actually perfect for the curve piecing on this quilt. The background and border amounts left me almost no waste, which never happens. Curved seams came out crisp with the ruler.
