Tic Tac Deco

The curve template made cutting the polka dot and neutral patches way less fiddly than I expected for a 54x54 quilt. I used a salmon and blue for the four-patch blocks and the contrast looks even better than the mockup. Binding took me an afternoon, and the finished top lies flat with no puckering.

I love how the pattern breaks down exactly how much fabric to buy for each color group — the 3/4 yard salmon and blue sections really pop. The 54x54 finished size is perfect for a lap quilt, and the curve patches add just the right amount of interest.

The polka dot focus fabric against the neutral curves gives this quilt such a fun modern look, way better than I expected from a 54x54 pattern. Curve piecing usually intimidates me but the 1 1/4 yard cuts for the patches left me almost no waste.
